    Hi Dietmar,

I can suggest a very picturesque village in the Var region of France. The village is called Moustier Sainte Marie (near the gorge du Verdon). Just above the village is a sharp V shaped split in the cliff where a star hangs in the middle. There is some fable attached to this and the star has been there for many, many years. Just near this village is where some of the most spectacular lavender fields of France can be found. Can I also suggest that you do searches on different city map websites. For the UK for example try putting “star” into http://www.streetmap.co.uk and see what you find. Sounds like a fun project. Goodluck and happy Christmas. John.

Hi Dietmar. In Portugal we have Serra da Estrela (moutains), in Lisbon we have BAsilica da Estrela (church) and jardim da Estrela (park). Good luck for your job!!!

Your “star” project sounds like it’s gonna be loads of fun! There is a place in Thailand called “Phu Soi Dao”. It is a national park situated on a mountian range and has a gorgeous waterfall as well. “Soi” in Thai means “to pick” and “Dao” means “star”. I’ve got a few pics from there, so if you’re interested, you can shoot me an email at charissacherry@gmail.com

    Happy snapping!
