We have a requirement to do a fashion catalouge/print for winter collection, in the 1st week of August, 2011. It will be a 10-13 day shoot.

Would love to see locations from Eastern Europe, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Kajakisthan, Russia (Moscow, St Petersburgh and others).

Essentially looking at locations which will have a winter feel in the month of August. Any suggestions welcome. Would like to shoot resorts, cities, countryside, farms, forest, ski resorts, lake towns, lakes…and areas which are covered in snow as its winter clothing.

Please do get back with pictures and suggestions, will be eagerly awaiting a response. Do email me at :

    Hi Parikhit,
In response to your request for a Winter Location and Snow in August for your shoot.
It would be Summer in the Northern Hemisphere and I’m not so sure that you’ll find a great deal of snow there but what I do know is that it will be the middle of Winter here in New Zealand and here in Queenstown were we are based it will be a Winter Wonderland!
We have Ski Resorts, Forests, Alpine Lakes, Log Cabins etc and a beautiful Alpine Resort Town.
Email if you have any intrest and we can discuss servicing your project and get some library pictures of our environment to you.

    Regards,

    Hi Parikhit

Here is JP , an european line producer … I have been involved in many indian films including bollywood features shot in Europe and I know well indian production needs and requests.

You will not find easily snow in August in Europe or Russia. I can offer you high altitude snow including on a glacier that is available in France and Switzerland all year long including August. I can send you pictures if you are interested. Let me know

    Hi Parikhit,

Have you thought about Whistler, Canada. It’s only a 90 minute drive from Vancouver. It has a great ‘winter’ feel in the village with lots of traditional log cabins etc. The big bonus is that there is snow on the glacier year round. Please check out these photographs from the Whistler Blackcomb website. If you would like any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Hello!

Have you put any thought into Chile? There is ample snow through September in locations not far from the capital- Santiago.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

This is Anzak from Joyride Films here – how are you?

Yes if you want winter locations it is actually a better time of year to be considering the Southern Hemisphere. The ski fields open in New Zealand this month so it is all about to happen!

We have a lot of experience shooting in winter/snow environments here in New Zealand and you can see a bunch of this on our website. Last year we shot a snow shoot with an Indian company and we have worked with several more.

NZ has so many great locations close together so it can be very rewarding if you are trying to cover a number of different settings without excessive cost. I can provide extensive location references if you are interested…

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance. Would love to have you down here with us!

    Warmest Regards – Anzak

It could be in Italy too with stunning view on Alps and Dolomites Area.

K+ is a Location Service for that area that can support your project.
