Is there any location manager who can support me with the followings ?

We are trying to find out these possibilities on locking (police escort as we go / partial / full lockdown) down the streets of London for Marathon scene for our film.
We would need those Iconic places such as streets in front of Buckingham palace, Big Ben, London eye, London bridge… to cheat London Olympic Marathon scene…

Would anyone be able to help me with the above ?
This is for May this year or possibly June. And we are looking for freelance location manager and production manager who can support us.

Please sent us info. to jpark@vimfilm.com or call me on +8210 4106 5436

    Cheers !

    Hi Johnny,

I run a production service in London. We do a lot of work on Korean TVCs. I have just completed shooting a Samsung TVC in Manchester with a Korean footballer. I note from your posting that you would prefer to deal with two freelancers, however please do let me know if I can be of any help.

    Sincerely,

    Hi Johnny,

I work for 1st Option, a location agency based in London, so thought I would offer some advice. You will need to contact the Film Office and local authorities to arrange permission to film at these locations. You will also need to contact the police, TFL and the Highways Agency to arrange road closures. Here are some useful contact details:

    City of London Film Office – 0207 332 3202
    Transport For London – 0203 054 1312

To hire police for your traffic holds will cost £55.42 per hour for a police constable and £68 per hour for a sergeant (though these rates may have gone up since I last enquired). The police will decide how many police you will need on the day and a booking is for a minimum of 6 hours.

We represent a wide range of locations for use in photographic and film shoots but do not tend to get involved in location management on shoot days. I will be happy to recommend some freelance Location Managers if you are still looking.

Let me know if you need any further assistance.

    Hi Johnny

I live and work (mostly) in the west of England, 200km west of London, but you will find professional help from a fellow member of the Guild of Location Managers. We have good links and relationships with Film London and the Metropolitan Police filming office as well as the individual London Borough Film Offices with whom you will have to deal.

Try http://www.golm.org.uk and click on Members where our profiles are posted, links to our websites IMDb pages, etc.
