  • This is for a small feature film that needs to portray a harbour that is surrounded with greenery or mountains and that looks neglected or going through a state of economic depression. Ultimately the mountains can be added in CGI so the focus must be on the harbour itself and its cracked but still functional concrete pier for example or just bad roads and walls all around. It should be easy to dress up as a neglected location. Any distinct architecture should be Spanish.
Almost more important are military ships between 36 and 80 feet long. Coast guard-type of ships too. Ships that should today be at least around 30 years old… These ships should be available for filming for a good couple weeks or more and dressing/signage should be permitted.
I would like to receive photos ideally from COLOMBIA but of course interested in seeing other country options too. If photos are good enough a recce will take place mid March. Please send photos by 7th March.

    Hi Malcolm,

We have some great options in South Africa. We will send you some options throughout the day. Here are some ideas of the vessels available. We do need to double check what is actually here at the moment, but this gives you a general idea. South Africa generally doesn’t have a very high tech or large navy so I think this may work well for your film
