I have a documentary that Channel 4 are keen to green-light depending on access – so I would really like to speak to a fixer/journalist in Thailand who can advise me.

Please drop me a line on nicky@popkorntv.com if you can help.

    Thank you so much,

    Nicky

    Dear Nicky

Regarding your requirement on The Procedure of Filming in Thailand, please follow the below instructions:

Filmmaker are required to hire a local coordinator (company or individual) who is officially registered with the Thailand Film Office, Department of Tourism. These companies will help you obtain all legal documentation for filming and work permits as well as contact and coordinate with all relevant agencies. Local coordinator services include recruiting production crews and talents, location scouting and fulfilling clients’ specific needs for equipment, special effects and other technical services. You can find a list of local coordinator in our website http://www.Thailandfilmoffice.org (Production Services Section). Payment for the services of local coordinator is as agreed between the said coordinator and and the filmmaker. The Thailand Film Office has no involvement in this arrangement, including the setting of rates for services provided.

    Regards,

    Thailand Film Office
