need a zoo for a tvc shooting for 2-3 days
australia in special but welcome for suggestions.

    Hi,

We have a number of zoos in Australia and it will depend on what access you would need to the zoo to begin with.
Do you have a schedule or script with more details?
Visas will need to be organised well in advance for international cast and crew.
Feel free to email me and we could discuss in more detail.
    Regards
    Tony

Vicki, we have one here in the very centre of Australia, two short flights from Hong Kong. David Attenborough in fact said “it is the best of its kind in the world”. Only outback animals though, kangaroos, emus, snakes, lizards (including the giant Perentie), dingoes, Eagles, bilbies etc. Includes a raptor daily twice daily but could be put on for your production.

    Hi Vicki,
Murray from the Location Guide flicked me a msg regarding your search.
Melbourne, Australia, Sydney and Adelaide Zoos – top 4 zoos in Australia.
I have attached some sample images – but can you give me a more succinct brief about the job and I may be able to be of further assistance
    regards
    Dan Wood

    Dear Vicki,

There are several zoos in New South Wales. This Destination NSW link provides information on and hotlines to the majority of both the large and the small ones in the State:

    Hi Vicki,

Victoria has a several zoos you might be interested in contacting:

Melbourne Zoo can be difficult to access for filming but these alternatives might be of interest to you:

Werribee Open Range Zoo, which houses both local and international species in an open range setting http://www.zoo.org.au/werribee

Healesville Sanctuary, which focuses on animals native to Australia http://www.zoo.org.au/healesville

Halls Gap Zoo – Victoria’s largest regional zoo, with local and exotic species http://hallsgapzoo.com.au/

You might also be interested in the searchable Film Victoria Location Gallery: http://www.filmmelbournelocations.com/ and also in eMate http://www.moreinmelbourne.com/emate – which promotes film co-production relationships.

I hope this is of assistance!

    Kind Regards,
Jacinta Palmer – Location and Production Services Officer, Film Victoria
