  • Hello,

I am looking for a large area of privately owned land within the Uk to use as a potential filming location on which to stage a unique and large-scale driving challenge.

We are making a series about tough trucking challenges (e/g transporting a load of iron ore from a mine in Australia and relocating a Yurt village in Mongolia) and we’d like to find a location where we could film one of these challenges in the UK.

It is very important that the land is privately owned as some of our truckers will be from outside the UK and consequently their licenses are not valid on public land.

If anyone has any suggestions of tough techincal trucking challenges that happen in a particular private location it would be great to hear.

    Many Thanks

    Hi Vicky

Would you please be able to send me any other info about your proposed shoot?

What kind/size of area do you need?
    What is being shot?
How long do you need the land for?

    My email is michelle@locationscotland.com

I can then see if this is something we can help you out with.

    With kind regards

    Michelle

    Hi Vicky,

If we can be of assistance please let us know: http://www.itascalocations.com we’ve got almost 3000 locations online and a whole heap more including the whole British Waterways network which are waiting to go up so we may just have something which could work.

    Hi Vicky

A couple of years ago I scouted for (and fixed) SFX plate shots for a Citroen commercial where the requirement was for off-road sections of the World Rally Championship. The location we finally used was a former quarry/mine working in S Wales, where I was told I could return any time. The pictures I attach on this response derive from the Hairpin I was specifically scouting for, but the area is extensive and privately owned – not Forestry Commission! Give me a call on 07939 042361 or email rob@locationmanagers.co.uk

Holton Lee has 350 acres of private land. Please see http://www.locationpoole.co.uk and contact attached.
