    Dear Anna,

I would like to introduce you to Desert Rain Films.

Not only are we based in Namibia, so directly where you need us to be, we are also closely affiliated with Namibia’s largest animal sanctuary – the Naankuse Foundation. Naankuse also has various private reserves in Namibia, and Marlice van Vuuren, the founder and owner of Naankuse, is one of Namibia’s most experienced and well-known conservationists. Her experience with animals is second to none. Please visit the website to see the various projects we are involved in – all of them serving to conserve and protect Namibia’s landscapes, wildlife and cultures: http://www.naankuse.com

At Desert Rain Films we offer full production services for any location in Namibia, from work visas for international crew, film permits, location permits if shooting in national parks, to all relevant logistics including accommodation, transport, drone permits (if required), support with customs and freight, experienced crew (Desert Rain Films has an in-house cameraman with global experience whose strength lies in wildlife filming) and we make sure that all logistics are fully taken care of.

Our main focus is on documentaries and we have facilitated many of these e.g. documentaries for Animal Planet, Discovery Channel, National Geographic and many more. Our clients include BBC’s Natural History Unit, Tigress Productions, Blink Films, Oxford Scientific Films, Offspring Films, Silverback Productions (to name a few).

And we are Namibia’s only production service company with a direct link to conservation work i.e. a portion of all profits is fed directly back into Naankuse’s various conservation and research projects.

Furthermore, I have significant experience in the South African film industry, having worked in Cape Town for many years. This means that we have a good relationship with rental companies in South Africa.

Desert Rain Films is also closely linked to Namibia’s largest equipment rental company, and I can gladly send you a detailed list of equipment available directly in Namibia.

Our website details all of the services we offer: http://www.desertrainfilms.com

We look forward to hearing from you.

    Warmest regards,

    Colette
