    Hi Antoine

We are so mad on rugby here in New Zealand that we can put a game together just about anywhere you can think of in any kind of landscape. There are some amazing little fields in far flung parts of the country where some of the legendary Allblacks are born. Let us know is we can help on anything.

    Best Regards – Anzak (anzak@joyridefilms.com)

Here in Fiji, some of our rugby players play on the beach, as well as on the reef flats at low tide. It’s very picturesque at sunset. We also have more ‘proper’ rugby pitches that are next to a beach, in the middle of villages and even on hilltops overlooking the ocean.

    Hi Antoine,
I have some pictures of NZ rugby fields on hand which I could email to you. If you would like them please let me know. New Zealand really would be a great place for you to find the spot.

    Bula Antoine,

we have various types of fields here in Fiji which are used for various sports. However with rugby being our national sport and loved by all, you will find all ages playing rugby on beaches, mud flats, village rara (empty space between bures or houses). We also have pretty good stadiums in the two major cities and smaller ones around the island. Let me know if you need more assistance with this.

Hi Antoine, James Moore here from Flying Fish in New Zealand. I notice you have a few replies from NZ companies already, all correct in suggesting we have many available rugby field options. Flying Fish is a popular produce service company for Europe and abroad, please check out our recent service work @ http://www.flyingfish.co.nz (under the Production tab). In the meantime please feel free to contact me: james.moore@flyingfish.co.nz. I can then send you location shots. Regards.

    Hi Antoine,

I work for a production company called Eden Media. We’re based in Sydney and source locations as well as offering ‘fixer’ skills for a variety of overseas companies and projects. Most recently we shot material for an MTV doco series based in New York. There’s a bunch of really beautiful rugby fields that spring to mind both here in Oz but also in the Papua New Guinea moutain highlands that I’ve had the pleasure to visit firsthand – and I’d be more than happy to assist you with this project.
    cheers

    Hello Antoine,

What do you think about Georgia (in Europe not USA). It has very diverse landscapes, from high mountains to subtropics and we have lots of rugby fields, up in the mountain areas as well at the sea shore, even one sandy field. Georgia is only 3,5 hour flight from France and might be very convenient for shooting. Please contact me if you need more information at nick@exploregeorgia.com

Hi my name is Horacio Guerrico from Spaghettifilms, in Argentina. we have rugby fields, all the locations you are looking for if you can email me to hguerrico@spaghetifilms.com.ar we can help you

    Dear Antoine

I work with the Scottish Highlands & Islands Film Commission (www.scotfilm.org) and represent the stunningly beautiful Outer Hebrides. We have one dedicated rugby pitch located in the Lews Castle Grounds with trees as the backdrop, and football pitches that could easily by adapted with posts to replicate a rugby field. Some of these have beautiful, uninterrupted coastal backgrounds and some are located in rural villages. For photos and further information, please email – donna.macleod@cne-siar.gov.uk. Thank you. I wish you all the best with this project.

The main grounds to consider here in Kenya are:
    Harlequins Grounds
    Impala Grounds
    St. Mary’s School Grounds
The first two are administered by The Kenya Rugby Football Union. I went over there to try and get some pics but they are not allowing me to do so. They say too many times others have done pictures as “reference” and then gone ahead and published. They have no problem for me to take pictures if I pay the “photography” fee which is a whopping US $ 225!!
St. Mary’s is a private school with a great simple ground. It doubles as a football and rugby ground, they just change the posts depending on the term!! Please check out some pictures at http://www.stmarys.ac.ke . Click on the “Extra Curricular” tab on the homepage and then “Sports”.

Let me know if this helps and I can look for more.

    Regards,

    Sam.

    Dear Antoine,

We’ve a huge selection of rugby grounds here in Wales; the spiritual home of rugby. From magnificent modern grounds to small grassy fields. We’ve got a huge variety – urban/rural, even industrial. The Wales Screen Commission, the film commission for Wales can help with images, information, scouting as well as any production assistance, all free of charge. My e-mail address is illtud@walesscreencommission.co.uk or telephone +44 1792 224508.

    All the best,

    Illtud.

    Hi Antoine,

If you consider shooting in Eastern Europe you can find very interesting locations in Romania too. There are some rugby facilities but there are plenty of less formal locations visually appealing for this project.
Please let me know if we could be instrumental

    Hi Antoine,

My name is Matthew Crowe and I represent the Newfoundland and Labrador Film Development Corporation. The Province of Newfoundland has a very interesting history regarding Rugby, as well as it’s own Rugby Union, “The Rock.” Many of our Rugby fields are located within unique or historical locations. If you would like to discuss this further, feel free to contact me via email at matthew@nlfdc.ca
