    Hello Antoine Sabaross,

New Brunswick, Canada also has many rugby teams and fields. I have spoken with the NB Rugby Union, and the fields, at the moment are very beaten up since they just held the provincial championships. They are recommending three distinct fields, one adjacent to the St. John River, one behind a rural high school, and one with a rock face edge (which is highlighted with graffity). Email me with more details, and I can take some digital images for you.

Rugby is a highly popular sport in Australia, and is played at a professional and recreational level. Rugby in Australia is governed by the Australian Rugby Union, with a constituent Queensland union – Queensland Rugby Union, which has traditionally being one of the most dominant members, reflecting the games’ higher status in the State. http://queensland.pftc.com.au/Locationspackages/Rugby_Fields/
Queensland is well-known for its diverse locations (desert, country towns, beaches, rainforests/jungles and cities. This being the case, there are a variety of open spaces/fields that could be manipulated to double for rugby fields, thus providing a range of field appearances. I would be more than happy to provide an additional location presentation illustrating some of these looks. Pacific Film and Television Commission

Rugby is a very popular sport in Ireland and there are many rugby pitches throughout the country. If you go to http://www.irishrugby.ie and go to the Clubs & Community section, it will give you access to information about each club including links to their websites. Also worth checking is Croke Park where international rugby games are now played. You can find more information and photos of this stadium on our Locations Gallery at http://www.irishfilmboard.ie.

    Hi Antoine,
Dundalk is a border town between Ireland and Northern Ireland. It is a developing town with views across to the Mourne Mountains.

There are two rugby fields here that are quite interesting – the first is set in college grounds, is surrounded by estates, a wind turbine and views across to the mountains. I can send you on a picture by email.

    Hi Antoine
Tasmania has much to offer in the way of rugby field locations that are visually interesting, in particular the Queenstown Oval, one of the most infamous sports grounds in Australia’s, known as ‘The Gravel’ due to its gravel surface situated in the heart of a mining town and surrounded by hills that are often snow capped. For more information on this location or any other in Tasmania please contact Screen Tasmania by email at info@screen.tas.gov.au, We will be happy to put together a package detailing the particular locations available

Bath Recreation Ground, the home of Bath rugby, is placed right in the centre of our beautiful Georgian city (A World Heritage site), which, in turn, is surrounded by green rolling hills in all directions. It must rate as one of the most beautiful rugby grounds in the world.

If you want to see some pics, please send your email address and I’ll attach an image from our database. Otherwise please visit http://www.bathrugby.com – the click on “The Club” and then select “Rec Development” from the sub menu.

The two most atmospheric Rugby fields in the World that I as a film producer have played are the Padang at the Singapore Cricket Club in the centre of Singapore.
Great if you want a wide shot of a city then cut in to the ground.
The other is the HAC ground in the city of London, the same you can go from wide shot of a city and then cu of the ground.
If you want any further info of places that I know, please let me know.

    cheers,

    Oliver
