  • I wondered if anyone could recommend a great production service company (location finder / production manager / line producer) in Vancouver, New Hampshire or Vermont. I am working on a film which is situated at a luxurious ski resort. For part of the shoot we will be filming in New York (Manhattan) and I believe the Catskills has no snow on the horizon? Any suggestions would be much appreciated and I look forward to hearing from you. Harnake Hunspal – Producer

    Hi Harnake.

Right now lack of snow is a big issue for all the ski resorts on the East Coast of the US.

Whistler is a good alternative. Crew and equipment would come out of Vancouver.

Call Tree House North, they service Canada.

    HI Harnake,

Jim Edward from COPILOT productions in Montreal.
Have you considered Quebec ? We are 6 hours drive away from Manhattan (or 1 hour flight).

We just received a good snowstorm and the most exclusive resort in the area is Mont Tremblant:
    http://www.tremblant.ca/mountain/winter/index-e.htm
We have done several projects with Tremblant.

In any case, please contact us at 514-993-7711 or by email: jim@COPILOTproductions.com to let us know what your timeline is and what the scope of the job might be. For more info on our company: http://www.COPILOTproductions.com thanks.

Budget restrictions means that I have to stick with Vermont and would really appreciate contact from a location scout in this area for a corporate drama based at a ski resort.

    Many thanks,

    Harnake

    Bonjour Harnake!

We are a servicing production company located in Montreal that have good and professional collaborators on both the west and east side of Canada – Pls go on our website to have a look at our pics refs of the different ski resorts that can accomodate your production.

In the west coast, the possibilities of the production being in Whistler is very accessible and feasable. And on the east coast (particuliarly in the Quebec province) the distance between NY and the ski resorts are quite short therefore making it a great location and cost.

    Hello,

My name is Garrett Utnehmer,I am writing you in response for a Location Scout/Assistant,and also for a Ski Resort Location.I do not have any experience in Locations, but I am working on trying to get into the business.I have worked as a Production Assistant on several films in the Los Angeles area.As for a Ski Resort Location,I live in California, and I know you said that your budget for a Location has to stay on the East Coast. There are several great Ski Resorts in California,1.Is a place called Big Bear Mountain, only an hour from Los Angeles.2.Is Mammoth Mountain Resort, which is in Northern California. So I’f you can write me back, with any info on how I could possibly assist you in your Location process.I would really appreciate it.Thanks
