  • Hello!
We’re looking for a location with snow in the end of August – beginning of September (approximate shooting time) to shoot a commercial. Would be great to collaborate with local production and local director. The project itself is for Russian stores of sporting goods (so as a director they would like to have a person who could make a sports story and who has some experience in it) .
Please if you have some ideas, proposals, advice, etc. and for more information contact me:

    Thank you!
    All the best,

    Tanya.

    Hi Tania,

Great to hear from you. We are busy scouting two American jobs with similar briefs at the moment here in South Africa, South America and New Zealand

Please can you let us know more about what you need? I am sure we can help. Can you please send me the script and/or storyboard?

We have many Directors here and abroad and I will be sending you some links to their work shortly. I would like to see the boards so we can suggest the right people.

    Please email me on david@diamonddogfilms.co.za

    All the best.

    Kia Ora Tanya (Kiwi greetings!)

We can help you on both fronts.

It’s the perfect time to be filming snow in New Zealand and we have much experience in that area. You can see a bunch of this work on our website. Last year we filmed a rugby game in the snow which was fun. You can see this work and a bunch of other spots on our website. Also we are associated with some talented directors who have handled sport spots before.

Please let me know if I can help with any reels, location reference and budgets? Be most happy to help.

High-altitude areas of the Southern Hemisphere. It is winter here now. Argentina has the famous alpine ski resort town of Bariloche high in the Andes Mountains, for example. There are many other areas in this region of the globe with snow potential in August.

I know this area and can help you do research and make arrangements if you like.

    HI Tanya,

We would be happy to help you and provide you with director to get a story happening for sporting goods on the snow. We have a lot of experience of shooting in the mountains and can confirm that September is a good time to shoot in South Island of NZ.

Attached are links from a week ago of Snow Farm that can accommodate filming and create ice surfaces, jumps for boarding or ski jumping to name a few.

Also ski fields in NZ have just opened last week also, with more snow falls predicted to give a deeper base to fields. We can search for the ideal location from the variety of fields here in NZ.

We can provide you with director to shoot here in NZ who is experienced with sports and shooting in the mountains.

    Kind Regards,

    Mary

    Hi,
We have lots and lots of snow now both in North Island and South Island. From Russia, North Island would be better for transportation, equipment and crew as well as less budget. South Island would be opposite to North Island but give you fantastic Alpine back drop.

We have a man who can start location scouting immediately.

    Thanks
    Masa
