For a major feature film we are looking for a few mid-rise city blocks to completely control for filming next April. The film is set in an urban area like New York City a few decades ago – not too slick, but traditional blocks with businesses on the ground floor of mid-rise apartment buildings. Some of the environment can be down and dirty. We would like 4 or more contiguous square blocks, without residents, that could be used as a set for a month.

We would like to find an urban environment that will be vacant – possibly scheduled for renewal or new constuction. The film is US based, but will travel for the right location. If you believe you have possibilities, please contact me: billbowling@gmail.com

    Dear Bill,

I head up the Locations Department here at Film London. We are keen to promote and support filming – both here and in the UK. I have copied you in to an email I’ve sent to the 33 London boroguhs and the UK Regional Screen Agencies. I have also requested a co-ordinated response via myself so you won’t be inundated with responses from everywhere!
Do please visit our website for further detail about how we work and what we can offer :

We look forward to helping you in your search,

    Kind regards,

    Dear Bill,
I work at Zeppelin Films Brazil and we could help you to find a vacant urban area in a borough from Porto Alegre (south of Brazil). If you could send me a location briefing and some references, I could provide you with some footage and pics of this region. Best, Liliana

    Hi Bill
    WINNIPEG MANITOBA- Canada
Although not vacant, we do have some areas in Winnipeg that can possibly give you the urban look you are looking for.
One area that is a “bus route” only will give that 4 block look, that is a bit dated.
Although I don’t have it photographed specifically for your look, I am sending you links that will give you the look of Winnipeg as well as, the next largest city Brandon in our province. If you are interested in Winnipeg- I will re-shoot the areas for you. The password you will need in lower case is “location”

    my direct e-mail is: shawna@mbfilmsound.mb.ca
