Jamaica has the original Blue Lagoon! It was made famous by the Brooke Shields movie of the same name. The over 52m-deep (170.6ft) ‘Blue Lagoon’ opens to the sea and is fed by freshwater springs that come in at about 40m (131ft) deep. The Blue Lagoon is one of the famous attractions in Portland – the northeastern section of Jamaica. a number of movies have been shot there or nearby including “Knight & Day”, Cocktail, “the Mighty Quinn” among others. Regarding waterfall – there is a waterfall nearby, though not on the Blue Lagoon itself. It is called Somerset Falls. I have included pictures of that as well.
