Franek, it is not professional. You ask for ideas once again, however, you waste time of decent professionals: you never reply to emails and your cell phone speaking Polish informs again that your number is not available for connection. Eugene Zykov (Russian Film Commission)

    Hi, Beverley,

I’ll email you the contacts of a good friend of mine in Beijing, who is producer, shooting
films with Jackie Chang & Jet Lee. Most importantly, he speaks good English, which
is still quite rear among Chinese producers. Best regards,

    Dear Franek,
I suggest the city of Krasnodar in the Southern Russia. Spring starts in February. A variety of old and modern European architecture. And importantly, now that the currency crisis hits Russia, the record high exchange rate of US dollar and the Euro against the Russian ruble makes it a lot cheaper for foreign producers to shoot films here. One of my location managers lived in Krasnodar and has some photos to show.

    Dear Sandy

Russia, being a Northern country in both Europe and Asia, will offer you a whole variety of such sport facilities in Moscow and in big cities and even many more obsolete ones in the outskirts of the capital and in smaller towns. All in all we have over 2000 outdoors and nearly 480 indoors hockey stadiums, plus tens of thousands of outdoors skating rings opened for hockey matches as well.

The oldest stadium is “Baltica” (photo #12-1) in Kaliningrad, Western Russia, built in 1892 near the fortress (photo #12-2). Winter is only a few months there for hockey. incl. March, so soccer is more popular for the local team.

But if you need the stadium closer to the central part of Russia, there are dozens of old hockey stadiums both indoors and outdoors in the outskirts of Moscow, or St-Petersburg or even furthermore to the East – Khabarovsk or Vladivostok (see the photos I emailed to your creativedenfilms@gmail.com).

So, If you clarify what exactly you want to have for your film, we provide you with 2-3 ideal locations with ideal timing for your film production. Best regards, Eugene Zykov

    Dear Laurence,

Both my Russian Film Commission & my production company would be glad to offer you creative, logistic and production support from A to Z. My location managers will help you to find the best locations.

You’ll have excellent English-speaking stars/extras from Moscow/Russia/ex-USSR to fit your requirements and an enthusiastic professional English-speaking second production unit. And any production equipment, props etc.

Also we take care of entry visas for your crew and permits. All the services mentioned above will be cost-effective and in line with your American spirit and philosophy for making a movie.
Finally we can also discuss some available incentives as co-financing partner / product placement, options for TV/cinema sales/domestic festivals in Russia/CIS/ex-USSR etc.

No broken promises or expectations: we’ve got excellent partners here and you may trust my personal experience: I lived for 3 years in the US, worked for 10 years with int’l producers in Russia and spent over 25 years in global film industry. You’ll find more information on this at
    http://russianfilm.biz/about/russian-film-commission-film-media-moscow/

Please feel free to contact me asap to start pre-prod in the nearest future so that we make it in time for shooting by June 2015. With such a pressing deadline I’m open for contacts 24/7.

I look forward to hearing from you at your soonest convenience.

    Hi, Merri Christi

Re. shooting your trilogy of adventure films outside the USA pls – my location manager(s) or guide(s) will provide you with excellent breath-taking locations in Russia/CIS/Baltics – throughout the ex-USSR.

Re. the requirements for filming in the above countries
    (A) entry visas in your crew’s passports (a simple procedure to make 10 days in advance and not costly 50 USD each)
    (B) ATA CARNET (a deatiled list of imported equipment) your crew will bring back upon the end of the production
    (C) permits – only if and when necessary. Here you should trust our own experience, contacts and intuition. We avoid problems but we always do our best to minimize the budget and creattively offer appealing options of cost-effective locations.

We also offer A-Z services incl. such incentives as co-financing partner / product placement, options for TV/cinema sales/domestic festivals in the ex-USSR etc.

I could elaborate it, if you give me more information about your project.

    Hi,

Besides some basic information re. visas etc. I can share with you my daughter’s quite professional documentary shot in Russian a few years ago about Russian orphans, their problems and prospects. The fact is that my wife adopted a teenage orphan – sad story… Both my wife and daughter speak excellent English (for your interview), alas, not the kid.

We may also discuss the other issues if you contact me at ez@russianfilm.biz or

    Hi Sina,

I have contacts with top professional filmmakers both in Turkmenistan
and Kyrgyzstan who annually attend and screen their documentaries
or/and feature films at various festivals and forums in Moscow. Most
of them would be happy to work with int’l crews and provide their own
equipment, transportation, English-speaking assistants etc. for a small
    budget – relatively.

Feel free to contact me at ez@russianfilm.biz

Hi Christophe, Russian wolves will do?
We could find a few in a special farm which provides
    – 1-2 wolves for film productions near Moscow
    – a tamed seasoned circus wolf.
    – a few civilized wolves born in a zoo farm of Belarus
    (see photos)
