CRETE(!) is definitely the location you should be looking at. One place that immediately came to mind is Elafonisi (see attached pictures). This can be quite a busy place but you can get your wilderness feel as the season slowly dies down (and schools open). There are many other options too here that could easily cover what you are looking for. We are on a stunning island surrounded by the Mediterannean, with the Cretan sea on our North coast and the amazing Libyan sea on the breathtaking South…
