International productions benefit from new German fund
International co-productions filming in Germany have got over half of the USD28 million allocated by the new German Federal Film Fund (DFFF) in the initial six months of operation.
Project manager Christine Berg explained that USD16.3 million had been awarded to international productions shooting in Germany, with the bulk of this - USD12 million - going to one single project, Speed Racer.
