Johnny Depp’s Lone Ranger spends millions on location in Colorado
Johnny Depp’s Lone Ranger has spent nearly USD7 million filming on location in Colorado. The shoot spent three weeks in the Creede region, in the south-west part of the state, using a 400-strong crew.
Michael Singer is the Unit Publicist on Lone Ranger and spoke to the Alamosa News about the Colorado shoot: “We are on our third and last week of filming in Creede, and it’s been a great experience for all of us to work and live in this beautiful part of the country.

Lone Ranger’s main base of operations has been New Mexico, which offers the state-of-the-art Albuquerque Studios, as well as a 25% filming incentive. Colorado offers a 20% cash rebate and recently increased the size of its film fund. Scenes from the film have also been shot in Arizona and Utah.
