Marvel’s upcoming adaptation of the Inhumans comic book series, with be shot in Oahu, Hawaii from March to June. The news was confirmed by Reel News Hawaii, who spotted members of the crew setting up production on the island.
Following on from its successful moves into the Malaysia and Dominican Republic markets, UK-based Pinewood Studios is to open a representative office in Beijing. The move comes at a time when the Chinese film industry is rapidly expanding and Western studios are recognising the potential of China’s domestic audience from the success of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
The third Wolverine-centric spin-off film is to begin filming in New Orleans and New Mexico, with principal photography commencing April 25th. The film will be directed by James Mangold (The Wolverine) and will see Hugh Jackman return to the titular role alongside co-star Patrick Stewart.

Warner Bros is involved in negotiations to make films on location in China for local audiences. The US studio is talking to China Media Capital, a state fund backed by the government, and the move would help Warner Bros get access to the lucrative Chinese domestic market.
An executive at Twentieth Century Fox has warned that Louisiana’s filming incentive changes could alienate big-budget features. Fred Baron is Fox’s executive vice-president of feature production and has filmed the new Fantastic Four and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes in Louisiana.
A senior Louisiana lawmaker has pledged to “save” the state’s film industry if he is elected Governor. Louisiana has attracted major shoots in recent years like Jurassic World and Mark Wahlberg’s Deepwater Horizon, but is now set to introduce an annual cap on its filming incentive.
Louisiana has for the first time committed to a yearly filming incentive spending cap. The southern state will offer USD 180 million annually, which the production industry has said could impact its appeal to future shoots on the scale of Jurassic World and Terminator Genisys.
