Sagafilm in Iceland has joined The Location Guide as a partner for our Soiree at the Cannes Lions Festival. Sagafilm has a wealth of production experience and has recently worked on features including Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar and Tobey Maguire’s Pawn Sacrifice.
The BBC has filmed scenes for its new period drama Poldark on location in Bath in the west of England. Production is based at The Bottle Yard Studios in nearby Bristol, which was also the long-term home of Channel’s period drama New Worlds.

Tenerife Film Commission has joined The Location Guide as a partner for our Soiree at the Cannes Lions Festival. Launched in 2000, the commission’s services include helping producers with location filming options and permits, and connecting them with local service companies.
The pilot for new US drama series Knifeman is filming on location at West London Film Studios in the UK. Tom Hollander will play real-life 18th Century Scottish surgeon John Hunter in a story based on the biography The Knife Man: Blood, Body-Snatching and the Birth of Modern Surgery.
Cape Town filming for the fourth season of US terrorism drama Homeland has been rescheduled because of delays caused by new work visa regulations. Foreign talent and crew coming into South Africa must now make visa applications in person in their home country.
Major movie equipment supplier Filmscape Media has opened an office at The Bottle Yard Studios in Bristol in western England. Bristol becomes its first regional office outside its London base and the company will be focussing on developing its lighting division.
