New miniseries The Kettering Incident will film on the Australian island state of Tasmania, south of the country’s mainland. The eight-part AUD15 million production will be written by Tasmanian writer Victoria Madden and will be the highest-profile shoot in the region since The Hunter.
Historical action drama Pompeii recreated the eponymous ancient Roman city filming on location in Toronto, Canada. The film tells the story of a slave-turned-gladiator struggling to save the aristocratic woman he loves against the backdrop of Pompeii's infamous volcanic eruption.

Pirate drama Black Sails filmed on location at Cape Town Film Studios in South Africa, doubling the region for the Bahamas. Set in 1720, the series is pitched as a prequel to Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic pirate novel Treasure Island and follows the adventures of Captain Flint.
Marvel will shoot second-unit footage on location in Johannesburg in South Africa for its upcoming superhero sequel The Avengers: Age of Ultron. Filming will last two weeks for the movie that will bring together Marvel’s biggest superhero stars for a second adventure.
