The Illinois Film Office has announced that roughly USD499 million was spent on film and TV production throughout the state in 2016. While a record breaking number in itself, the official statistics won't be released until spring 2017.
Woody Harrelson made cinematic history this morning by directing and starring in the world’s first live film. Entitled Lost in London, filming kicked off a 2am in the borough of Camden, travelling to Soho’s Grape Street and back again.
Avengers: Infinity War, the third instalment in the successful Marvel crossover series will be filmed in Glasgow, Edinburgh and the Highlands. Principal photography will commence on February 28th, taking up residence for a total of six months and investing around GBP10 million into the local economy.
Marvel Studios has started shooting its latest superhero movie Captain America: Civil War on location at Pinewood Atlanta Studios. The film will follow on from the recently-released Avengers: Age of Ultron and will be the third movie to focus on Captain America.
