Class, the BBC’s third spinoff series of Doctor Who was shot on location in the Redcliffe Caves that lie underneath Bristol. The expansive underground network is an iconic local landmark in part to its eerie atmosphere and red stone walls, depicted in Class as being Hell itself.
One of the UK’s most popular filming spaces, The Bottle Yard Studios will be receiving an investment of GBP692,000 from Bristol City Council, allowing the company to pay for improvements to its IT capabilities and roofing structure.

Production has begun on the independent film, We Can Be Heroes as scenes are being shot at The Bottle Yard Studios in Bristol. Up to 17 days of location filming are also expected to take place at Kings Head Park in Bishopsworth, with the Bristol Film Office providing logistical support.

The report shows a 65% increase in location filming over the previous year, a staggering figure that aligns with the incredible success that the UK film industry as a whole has had in recent years.
The upcoming one-off special of BBC’s Sherlock series was filmed on location in areas of Bristol and at The Bottle Yard Studios. During its filming the production used the Studios’ Tank House 2, marking a change for the series as Sherlock is usually filmed in London and at Upper Boat Studios.
The BBC’s television adaptation of Agatha Christie’s bestselling crime novel, And Then There Were None was filmed in Cornwall and at Harefield House in Hillingdon. The original novel has sold over 100 million copies worldwide and has been adapted numerous times into television shows, films, and even a stage production.
