Scenes for BBC Films' new period feature Testament Of Youth have been shot on location in Sheffield in northern England. The feature is based on Vera Brittain’s famous memoir of the First World War and follows the writer’s experiences of the conflict.
Origin Pictures filmed the BBC’s adaptation of Daphne du Maurier’s novel Jamaica Inn mostly in Yorkshire in northern England. Set in Cornwall, south-west England, in 1821, Jamaica Inn tells the story of a young woman who becomes embroiled with smugglers on the Cornish coast.
An adaptation of Vera Brittain’s First World War memoir Testament Of Youth is filming on location in the UK in Yorkshire, Oxford and London. Heyday Films and BBC Films are co-producers on the adaptation of the 1933 memoir.
