Irish actor Michael Fassbender will join Rachel Weisz to film drama The Light Between Oceans on location in New Zealand and Australia. Set on a remote Australian island in the years following World War I, the story follows a couple who discover an infant on a boat washed ashore.
The BBC has announced more than 50 hours of new filming productions to be presented through its Natural History and Science division. Projects include a follow-up to oceans documentary Blue Planet, and The Hunt, which will focus on the relationship between predator and prey.
