The fourth iteration of Craftworks, hosted by David Reviews and the Advertising Producers Association, saw a number of industry experts take to the stage including the creative teams behind the recent Bupa commercial and an unaired spot for BBC Radio 1.
Production on the second season of Stan Lee’s Lucky Man travelled to a wealth of different locations throughout the UK capital. FilmFixer was on hand to handle the on location shoots in Islington, Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham, Haringey and Camden.
The final season of ITV’s Broadchurch utilised sound stages at The Bottle Yard Studios in Bristol. On location shoots took place at Avonmouth’s Queen Street and Avonmouth Docks, while office buildings were used on Temple Street, Victoria Street and Whitchurch Lane.
Filming has begun on a short sequel to Richard Curtis’s 2003 ensemble comedy, Love Actually. The first day of principal photography took place along London’s South Bank yesterday, as the project returned to an iconic location that was featured in the original film.
Ben Lewin’s adaptation of Nicholas Dowidoff’s nonfiction novel is now filming on location in Prague. The project is expected to remain in the Czech Republic until March 23rd, with production service company Czech Anglo Productions offering assistance.
SS-GB, the BBC’s new sci-fi drama that depicts an alternate history wherein Britain lost the Second World War, has premiered at the Berlin Film Festival. The production travelled to a variety of areas throughout London, with FilmFixer providing assistance on location.
The BBC has announced that all of its television output will now be monitored by the Albert carbon calculator to improve sustainability measures during production. Initially created by the BBC, Albert’s sustainability methods have been adopted by companies including Channel 4, Warner Bros. and Sky.
Jodie Whittaker’s upcoming BBC thriller, Trust Me has begun principal photography in Edinburgh and Glasgow. RED Production Company, whose credits include Ordinary Lies and Paranoid, are behind the new series.
