Florida’s incentive programme offers up to 30% in transferable tax credits but currently lacks sufficient funding, rendering the scheme useless until the state government intervenes.
The state of Massachusetts’ tax incentive programme could be scaled back under a new proposal by Governor Charlie Baker. The Florida Film and Entertainment Industry Financial Incentive Programme will come to an end July 1st 2016 if legislators decide not to amend or renew it. In an attempt to retain a system of incentives within Florida, non-profit organisation Film Florida has presented a plan to change the programme and extend it past the 2016 deadline.
