Submarine drama Hunter Killer is set to film on location near Anchorage in Alaska. Most of the shoot is reportedly scheduled for the small town of Whittier, 60 miles from the state capital. Whale rescue drama Big Miracle is among the recent high-profile films to have shot in Alaska.
The BBC has returned to Morocco to film scenes for the second series of its historical family adventure series Atlantis. As with the first series, production was based in a retrofitted studio in Chepstow in Wales, but the team also filmed in and around Morocco’s Atlas Mountains.
The new James Bond movie, officially named today by director Sam Mendes as Spectre, will film on location in London, Morocco, Rome, Mexico City and the Alps. Shooting will last seven months and will start next week from its Pinewood Studios base.

Ecosse Films headed to southern England to rebuild parts of London as they appeared in the 1660s for ITV’s ambitious new miniseries The Great Fire. The drama tells the story of the devastating fire that destroyed great swathes of the capital over a few days in September 1666.
Fantasy sequel Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass has filmed briefly on location in Gloucester, in south-west England, doubling the city’s historic docks for a period London setting of around 1850. The film will feature Johnny Depp resuming his role as Mad Hatter.
