The film adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith’s novel Pride and Prejudice and Zombies was shot on location in the English village of Old Basing, roughly 40 miles south west of London. Old Basing was chosen as it features a variety of Victorian style architecture, perfect for productions wanting to recreate a period setting.
The third season of ITV’s crime series Broadchurch has begun filming in the show’s usual location of Dorset, England. The production is currently shooting at a cliff top house near the West Bay which has been featured before on the show, after it was revealed that the house would be demolished at the owner’s request.
In an effort to attract international productions the Eastern-European country of Georgia is set to introduce a brand new 20% cash rebate in 2016, with an additional two to five percent available for productions that include certain aspects of Georgia. The qualifying minimum expenditure for the rebate will be set at roughly GEL723,000 (USD300,000).
The Moroccan Government has approved a 20% cash rebate for international productions, set to be implemented March 31st 2016 as part of a bill known as the 2016 Finance Law. The required minimum expenditure for the rebate will be MAD20 million (USD1 million) and will cover a production for at least 18 days.

The upcoming one-off special of BBC’s Sherlock series was filmed on location in areas of Bristol and at The Bottle Yard Studios. During its filming the production used the Studios’ Tank House 2, marking a change for the series as Sherlock is usually filmed in London and at Upper Boat Studios.
The BBC’s television adaptation of Agatha Christie’s bestselling crime novel, And Then There Were None was filmed in Cornwall and at Harefield House in Hillingdon. The original novel has sold over 100 million copies worldwide and has been adapted numerous times into television shows, films, and even a stage production.
The upcoming ITV produced television series Beowulf: Return to the Shieldlands, was filmed on location in Northumberland and County Durham which are located in the Northeast of England. Based upon the original Beowulf poem, this big budget production will attempt to appeal to both national and international audiences by tapping into the same medieval style popularised by Game of Thrones and The Last Kingdom.
