The Dark Knight Rises won’t be getting any cash back for its upcoming Pittsburgh shoot through the state incentive scheme. Pittsburgh will be doubling for Gotham City but productions must spend at least 60% of their total budget in the city to qualify for the incentive.
The bat has come to Nottingham; specifically Wollaton Hall, a 16th Century Elizabethan mansion in the city. Christopher Nolan’s third Batman project is rumoured to have been filming in locations all over the UK, but Wollaton Hall is the first UK location commented on by the production team.
[slideshow id=105]Jodhpur, in Rajasthan in north-west India, has been used for a couple of days of filming for The Dark Knight Rises. Shooting focussed on the 500-year-old Mehrangarh Fort, which rises 120 metres above the city and has been used before by brands including Visa and Pepsi.
Location filming rumours have been flying around for months, but Christopher Nolan has now confirmed that The Dark Knight Rises will spend several weeks filming in Pittsburgh. The production will be Nolan’s last Batman film as director.
