Global Production Network (GPN) held its fourth annual summit in Istanbul recently. Set up in 2003, the organisation specialises in recognising accountability throughout the production service industry. It encompasses 34 companies representing 64 countries.
Craig Woods is Film Commissioner at the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism. The Bahamas is part of the British Commonwealth and encompasses 700 Caribbean islands, of which 30 are inhabited. Craig is in charge of promoting and arranging film shoots in the region.
Marvel’s superhero sequel Iron Man 3 will be filming in Greater Fort Lauderdale near Miami, Florida, from October 2012 after several months spent in North Carolina. The shoot comes a year after Tom Cruise’s high-profile Rock of Ages recreated Los Angeles’ Sunset Strip in Miami.

Donald Trump wants to build a 250,000-foot film studio in Florida’s Miami-Dade County. The plans have surprised local authorities but a 180-day feasibility study has been approved. Trump Studio City could be built on county-owned land near the Homestead Air Reserve Base.

HBO’s new TV feature Hemingway & Gellhorn filmed entirely in and around San Francisco, but the city doubles for locations around the world. It stars Clive Owen and Nicole Kidman and charts the true-life relationship between Ernest Hemingway and famous war correspondent Martha Gellhorn.
