Lisboa Film Commission launches in Portugal
The Lisboa Film Commission has been launched in the Portuguese capital to streamline the local permitting process. Making filming permits available within three working days is intended to boost Lisbon’s appeal, both domestically and internationally.
Expanding on the new remit, the commission said: “[We] support filmmakers, acting both as a partner and a facilitator within the various municipal services, researching locations and establishing connections with other entities in the municipality.”
Permitting is to be handled by a single manager to reduce bureaucracy and fees are now payable online.
Stink was one of the most recent international production companies to visit Portugal, filming an innovative campaign for Mercedes in both Lisbon and Porto. The project was serviced by Page International Services.
