Nashville TV series gets filming incentive pay-out for Tennessee shoot
New TV drama Nashville will get a location filming incentive pay-out of up to USD7.5 million to shoot on location in Tennessee. Filming is scheduled for mid-July 2012 and will employ more than 350 local crew members.
Bill Hagerty is Commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (ECD): “The unique confluence of film and music that Nashville offers is central to our aim of highlighting Tennessee’s great strength as a centre of creative excellence in the music industry.
The consistent employment afforded Tennesseans as a result of this multi-episode series will result in constructive training and talent development.

“Additionally, the consistent employment afforded Tennesseans as a result of this multi-episode series will result in constructive training and talent development, and longer-term employment for Tennessee’s entertainment industry.”
Tennessee’s location filming incentive programme was recently given a small cash injection and projects with budgets higher than USD200,000 are eligible for grants. Nashville will follow a fading singer who has to team up with a teen superstar to save her career.
