Neil Jordan vampire thriller to film in Ireland with Irish Film Board funding

The Irish Film Board (IFB) has announced it will support Neil Jordan’s new vampire thriller, as part of its latest funding decisions. Byzantium will film on location around Ireland and could deliver as much as EUR7 million to the Irish economy.

The investment by the IFB in Byzantium will ensure that the project can be produced in Ireland, bringing with it international investment and ensuring Irish talent are attached to it.

In addition, the IFB announced funding for the first Ireland-Singapore co-production, which is for a feature called Mister John. Steven Soderbergh’s Haywire, and Albert Nobbs, starring Glenn Close, will both showcase Dublin in the next few months.
