New film commission for Morocco
The launch of a new film commission in Morocco was announced earlier this year. The commission is based in the southern Moroccan city of Ouarzazate. The choice of location is particularly apt as the city hosts one of the world’s largest film studios and is widely known as the film capital of Morocco. The aim is to make Ouarzazate a major African film production centre by 2016.
