Greece considering new incentive as part of tax shelter scheme
A new incentive is being considered in Greece to encourage greater investment in the country’s audiovisual industry.
Greek organisations like VAT-registered businesses could be entitled to a tax reduction of up to 40% if they invest in a company in the audiovisual sector.
The Greek Film Centre will be in charge of implementing the new scheme, should it secure the approval of the Hellenic Parliament. A decision is expected sometime in mid-June 2010.
