Lock Out to shoot in Belgrade with Guy Pearce
Science fiction thriller Lock Out is to begin filming in Belgrade in the next few weeks with Guy Pearce and Maggie Grace. Luc Besson’s EuropaCorp is producing the project and has filmed in Serbia extensively in the last few years using service company Work In Progress.
Milica Bozanic, Operations Manager at Film in Serbia, said: “EuropaCorp and Work In Progress have previously collaborated on several projects including The Big Picture, Human Zoo and District 13: Ultimatum, for which they recreated a dystopian Parisian suburb in Belgrade. Serbia’s competitive costs and wide array of locations have made this ongoing professional relationship possible.”
Earlier this year Ralph Fiennes filmed his directorial debut Coriolanus in Belgrade. The production was attracted by several factors including the reduced costs compared to other European cities.
