Mission: Impossible 4 to shoot in Vancouver, Prague and Dubai
Action sequel Mission: Impossible 4 is scheduled to start filming in the next few months and will shoot in cities including Vancouver, Prague and Dubai.
Vancouver offers several different incentives including the Production Services Tax Credit, which allows productions to claim up to 33% of labour expenditures. The financial advantages combined with the different environments on offer attracted nearly 240 productions throughout 2009, with recent feature projects including The A Team and the Twilight saga.
Karen Lamare, of the British Columbia Film Commission, said: “British Columbia offers some of the world’s most spectacular scenery. Endowed with an unsurpassed range of natural beauty, as well as rural and urban settings that can play quaint, gritty or postmodern contemporary - an abundance of location possibilities unfold throughout the province.”
International interest in Prague has become more viable since the Czech Republic launched a filming rebate of up to 20% in June this year.
