Next Gen: Asia
Fifteen years after The Hollywood Reporter introduced its Next Generation franchise, focusing on the future leaders of the domestic entertainment industry, we are going global, with our inaugural Next Generation: Asia.
It was no small task to choose the top 20 up-and-comers in film, television and new media, both behind the scenes and in front of the camera, in a region that is home to more than 60% of humanity. But in doing so we stuck to the following criteria:
Each finalist had to be age 35 or younger;
Each had to be responsible for work that was commercially successful and/or critically acclaimed;
Each had to have earned considerable respect among colleagues and peers;
And each had to show the potential to influence the entertainment landscape in the future.
To the members of the first Next Gen: Asia, we offer our sincere congratulations.
