Partizan Berlin films counter-culture spirit on location in Portugal for O2

Partizan Berlin doubled the Portuguese capital Lisbon for the Czech Republic to film a new spot for mobile network O2’s Czech market. Hippy Reloaded shows people expressing themselves with bright colours and counter-culture costumes against the backdrop of an historic city.

“We shot in downtown Lisbon,” says Patricia Lino of Production Services Portugal, “and also in Comércio Square, Bairro Alto, Vasco da Gama Bridge (the biggest in Europe), at an apartment in the expo district and expo district, at Lumiar and subway as well as train station Santa Apolonia."

“At each location," she continues, "we added urban furniture such as street lamps, benches and traffic signs covered with tricot specially made for this. There were also other hippy elements such as entire cars covered in flowers, painted cars in colourful motifs and telephone booths placed on location covered with plants.”

Lisbon stood in for the Czech Republic as Partizan needed a springtime feel in March, while the city also offered different urban looks within a small area. Nearly a dozen different locations were filmed over a three-day shooting period.
