Guild of Location Managers in UK incorporated into Production Guild
The Guild of Location Managers in the UK is to become part of the Production Guild of Great Britain in a bid to improve the support it can offer its members working on UK shoots. Fifty members of the Guild of Location Managers will be invited to join the Production Guild this week.
“The Guild of Location Managers has been seeking how best to support its membership, particularly since it has grown,” said Location Manager and Production Guild of Great Britain board member Jane Soans: “The close working relationship that Production Guild members have with location managers, its focus on expanding employment opportunities, providing training and information, and having an office and staff to serve members will be a huge benefit to our members.”
"Offering more Location Managers the opportunity to join the Production Guild is a good fit,” added Production Guild Chief Executive Alison Small.
From its office at Pinewood Studios, the Production Guild’s support services for its members include working to improve their employment opportunities and offering guidance within the production industry. It also campaigns on issues affecting the UK’s competitiveness.
