The Bold and the Beautiful to film on location in Paris to mark 25th anniversary
Long-running US daytime soap The Bold and the Beautiful will film episodes on location in Paris this week. The shoot will mark 25 years of the show being broadcast in the country on the France 2 network and comes only a few weeks after the soap filmed in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
“The Bold and the Beautiful is long overdue for a rendezvous with the world-renowned romance of Paris, France,” said Bradley Bell, the show’s Executive Producer and Head Writer.
"Forrester Creations has always had its international office in Paris, and now we’re going to take our cameras in for a closer look. We will show you Paris as you’ve never seen it before.”
The soap has filmed internationally several times over the years, travelling to Sydney and Mexico, as well as multiple separate shoots in Italy, visiting Venice, Portofino and Lake Como. When producers chose the United Arab Emirates for a few days of filming earlier this year, the show became the first international soap to shoot in the region.
Valérie Lépine-Karnik recently became the new head of Film France, having taken over the role from Patrick Lamassoure. She will be working to bring more foreign productions to the country. International filming in France tends to focus on Paris, but in a recent interview with The Location Guide, Lépine-Karnik said that she planned to raise the profiles of other parts of the country and forge greater unity between France’s regional filming locations.
