US Sherlock Holmes drama Elementary to film season two opener in London
American TV series Elementary will film its season two opener on location in London. Launched by CBS after the success of the BBC’s Sherlock, the show's famous crime-solver remains British, but he usually works as a police consultant in modern-day New York and is a recovering alcoholic.
“We couldn't be more excited to have this opportunity to see Sherlock's old stomping grounds and take a closer look at a life that, until now, we've only been able to glimpse through the lens of his recovery,” said the show’s Executive Producer and Creator Robert Doherty.
The UK recently launched a 20% television location filming tax credit to attract high-end productions and this may have made a London shoot more feasible for Elementary.
