Pinewood Shepperton Studios announces increased revenue for 2012

Pinewood Shepperton Studios near London has announced increased revenue for 2012 and “encouraging” bookings for 2013. The company has also upgraded its digital television facilities, while also starting work on new studio space.

Revenue in the six months up to September 2012 surpassed a similar timeframe in 2011 by more than GBP2 million. In addition to that, Pinewood has signed an agreement with the Isle of Man Treasury to manage its GBP25 million film fund.

Ivan Dunleavy is Pinewood’s Chief Executive: “The number of film productions contracted so far for next year (2013) is encouraging and the Board looks forward to the future with confidence.”

Tom Hooper’s Les Miserables, Mike Newell's Great Expectations and new Bond film Skyfall are among the high-profile features to have filmed at Pinewood’s facilities in 2012.
