Raleigh Studios plans new facility for Park City in Utah

Raleigh Studios is planning to build a new facility in Park City, Utah, which hosts the Sundance Film Festival every year. The studio will spearhead the state’s film infrastructure development by providing a sound stage, alongside an entertainment centre and a hotel.

The development has been in the pipeline for several years and will be managed by Quinn’s Junction Partnership. Raleigh already has a presence in California, Louisiana, Georgia and Michigan. It recently opened its first European site in Budapest and confirmed earlier this month that a Toulouse facility is being considered in France.

Utah is already a popular filming location, with Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, John Carter and the Oscar-winning 127 Hours among the state’s recent productions; a sound stage will be an added appeal for producers, alongside Utah's 25% filming incentive.
