Russians plan strong presence at Cannes
It has been well reported in recent months that the Russian film industry is suffering due to the economic crisis. So, in an attempt to revitalise its image, they are planning to have a large contingent at Cannes this year.
Film presentations, workshops, co-production pitching sessions and director master-classes will all be taking place in a 1,614 square foot pavilion close to the Market and International Village. Leading Russian producers and key government officials will be in attendance throughout.
