Scout Asia offers more production resources with new office in Sri Lanka
Production services company Scout Asia has opened a new office in Sri Lanka. The company is based in the city of Galle in the southern tip of the country, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Algy Sloane runs Scout Asia: “We can facilitate any production from stills through to large-scale features. Most of the equipment is sourced through [the Sri Lankan city of] Colombo and Chennai, India. We’re also assembling a locations library that will be launched in January 2013.”
Sri Lanka is seeking to re-establish itself as a popular global filming location. Recent productions include commercials for AXA Insurance and Kirin Tea. Scout Asia is currently working on a new BBC production.
