NYC & Company, the city’s official marketing organisation has produced a film tourism campaign to capitalise on the predicted success of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
A feature film biopic on the life of the renowned French artist, Paul Gauguin has now completed filming on the island of Tahiti. Directed by Edouard Deluc and staring Vincent Cassel (Jason Bourne) as Gauguin himself, the local production service company Filmin’Tahiti was utilised for on location assistance.
A feature film biopic on the life of Lizzie Borden, who was infamously charged and acquitted with brutally murdering her father and stepmother, is currently being filmed in Savannah, Georgia. The film will star Chloë Sevigny as the titular character, alongside Kristen Stewart.
The return of HBO’s iconic comedy series, Curb Your Enthusiasm is now underway with scenes being shot in Hollywood Boulevard. The production was spotted on location over the weekend as the show’s star, Larry David drove through the heart of Los Angeles.
The sequel to 2013's Pacific Rim has entered into production in Sydney, Australia. Entitled Pacific Rim: Maelstrom, the sequel will pick up a number of years after the first film with Star Wars alum John Boyega set to star alongside Scott Eastwood (Suicide Squad) and Jing Tian (Kong: Skull Island).
The 10% uplift on New York State’s film incentive programme has now been extended to cover the counties of Dutchess and Ulster. The uplift was originally introduced in 2015 as a method of inspiring filmmakers to shoot elsewhere in the state and not just in New York City.
