Netflix’s hit sci-fi series, Stranger Things was shot almost entirely on location within the state of Georgia, with portions also filmed at Screen Gems Studios in Atlanta. The state was used as a cheat for Indiana, which is currently without a film incentive programme.
Production has begun on the independent film, We Can Be Heroes as scenes are being shot at The Bottle Yard Studios in Bristol. Up to 17 days of location filming are also expected to take place at Kings Head Park in Bishopsworth, with the Bristol Film Office providing logistical support.
The film rebate scheme available in Mauritius has increased from the previous rate of 30% to 40%. The increase is designed to entice more international productions to film in the island nation, covering costs relating to transport, accommodation and production services amongst others.
A financial report constructed by Norway’s Olsberg SPI Consultancy has revealed that the country received an overall intake of USD24 million from the two feature films, The Snowman and Downsizing that shot on location in 2016. The presence of these two production accounted for 142 new jobs with a total of USD12.7 million in payroll expenses.

Strawberry Films, acting as a service company for Stink Berlin have shot a large portion of their Feel Connected commercial for Telekom AG in the Hungarian capital of Budapest. Hungary has been used represent a number of major European countries including Vienna.
Transformers: The Last Knight, the latest instalment in Michael Bay’s long-running feature film series has begun shooting on location in the Isle of Skye. The shoot began yesterday morning and will carry on today, having set up in the areas of Quiraing, the Storr and Trotternish Ridge.
Working on their latest commercial for the TCL 750 Smartphone, Chinese Production Company Cat and Mouse opted to shoot on location in Turkey, with Jaguar Projects providing production services.
