Krakow

Krakow is Poland’s second-largest city and offers a rich blend of history and architecture dating all the way back to the 7th Century. Its Main Market Square is Europe’s largest medieval town square and is surrounded by churches, palaces and townhouses.

The city is a treat for filmmakers owing to the history on offer within a relatively small area. Appetite Production, Film Factory, TheFilm.pl and Film Polska Productions are among the local production service companies. Accommodation and the local cuisine are also first-rate as a result of the city’s popularity as a tourist destination.

Bollywood used the city as itself for the first time in late 2010 with JMJ Entertainment producing its first movie with the action film currently titled Mujjahir, which was serviced by Film Polska Productions. The recently-introduced Regional Film Fund offers EUR500,000 annually and could also do its part to put this beautiful city more firmly on the filmmaking map.
